3 of Our Favorite Halloween Matcha Desserts

Some of our favorite sweets have gone green and risen in popularity over the last few years, see: Pocky and Kit Kat. October is a perfect time of year to get creative in the kitchen, and cooking with matcha is a unique way to mix up your classic recipes. Matcha’s green color makes it the perfect element for spooky, monster-themed cookies and drinks. We are excited to share a few of our favorite Halloween matcha desserts!


1. Gremlin’s Inspired Cocktail

Matcha powder (We suggest a ceremonial grade matcha powder for this matcha dessert drink!)
1 lime wedge
½ oz vodka
½ oz heavy cream
½ oz simple syrup

2. Frankenstein Cookies

What You’ll Need for This Matcha Dessert:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2-3 tbsp unsweetened green tea powder
230 grams softened unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

3. Googly-eyed No Bake Cupcakes

What You’ll Need for This Matcha Dessert:
Cupcake Base
1/2 cup almond flour
1/2 cup raw almonds
1/2 cup coconut flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp espresso powder
1 cup Medjool dates, pitted

Green Icing
1 cup coconut cream
1 tsp agave, or coconut nectar
1 tbsp matcha powder (This is a matcha dessert, after all!)

Raw Chocolate Ganache Cream
1/4 cup of coconut nectar or agave nectar
1/4 cup of cocoa powder
2 tbsp coconut oil
